Ogilvy Health has named Dan Blomfield managing director of its Singapore operations, in response to the growing importance of Singapore as a hub for pharmaceutical and health tech companies in the Asia Pacific region.
In his new role, Blomfield will be responsible for expanding the business in Singapore, working with local and regional clients to develop creative solutions to their broad communications challenges. Blomfield will leverage global and Asia Pacific Rx digital insights across all of Ogilvy Health in Singapore’s client partnerships, in a bid to establish the agency as the region’s leader in strategic and creative scientific and medical communications. He reports to WPP Health Practice International CEO Claire Gillis. Blomfield’s appointment also further strengthen’s its ability to innovate in one of the world’s most progressive and tech-led healthcare markets.

Gillis added that this is an exciting appointment for Ogilvy Health and WPP Health Practice. Blomfield’s proven track record as a disruptor and his health tech experiences in Europe and Asia Pacific “significantly strengthens” Ogilvy Health’s offering to clients in Singapore. She added that with Blomfield on board, the agency will be able to innovate and grow in this important region.
