Brian Fetherstonhaugh has always been a big believer in the transformative power of exceptional talent. His book, The Long View, Career Strategies to Start Strong, Reach High and Go Far, spurred influential editorials and training modules on the importance of career development and strategy. So when Ogilvy was searching for someone to lead their global talent initiatives as the agency’s Next Chapter transformation continues, it didn’t have to look too far. Fetherstonhaugh, the agency’s global leader of customer engagement and commerce, will take on the additional role of Worldwide Chief Talent Officer.
With this appointment, Brian assumes global responsibility for: talent strategy, acquisition, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, compensation strategy, talent mobility across the network, and overall talent transformation for the company. Talent Leaders across the function globally will report to Brian in addition to market and regional leadership.
“I am absolutely thrilled. This expanded role gives me a chance to contribute in a new way to the company I love, in an area I am passionate about, at a moment of true transformation,” Fetherstonhaugh said in a statement. “I see this as the ultimate growth job—for our people, for our clients and for Ogilvy.”
